Dr. Chaula Rininta Anindya is an assistant professor at the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Indonesia. She teaches courses on International Security and Strategic Studies. She earned her PhD from the Graduate School of International Relations, Ritsumeikan University, Japan, where she wrote a dissertation titled “Unpacking the Counterterrorism in Indonesia: Actors, Institutions, and Political Contestations.”Prior to her PhD, she was a research analyst at the Indonesia Programme, Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where she led various research projects on Indonesia’s counterterrorism policy and civil-military relations. Her writings are featured on reputable platforms, including Defence & Security Analysis, Journal for Deradicalization, and Journal of Policing, Intelligence, and Counter Terrorism.
