Studies in this region is needed by Indonesia due to its proximity and their conditions can potentially bring direct impacts to Indonesia. In addition, the study of this region would help uncover the importance of this region in International Relations and how Indonesia can continue to pursue good relations through mutual respect and benefits.
This book consists of 15 articles written by three lecturers and 11 students of the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia. Discussions are separated into four sections, which include Australia’s and New Zealand’s regional politics, security, and foreign relations; migration and refugees; economic and trade matters in the South Pacific; as well as regional issues related to environment, religion, and culture in this region.
